The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority announced that the 5G spectrum auction will proceed on March 10 as scheduled, offering 597 MHz across multiple bands through a multi-round electronic clock auction. Officials estimate the sale could generate between $300 million and $700 million, with operators required to secure a minimum of 100 MHz. PTA said the auction aims to improve data speeds, coverage, and service quality, with 5G rollout expected within three to six months and mobile broadband speeds projected to increase by around 25 per cent.
