The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has launched the PAK-ID App, a biometric and Face ID-based platform developed with NADRA and PITB to enable fully online vehicle ownership verification and transfers. The app eliminates the need for embassy visits, affidavits, and power of attorney, particularly benefiting overseas Pakistanis and remote users. Officials say the digital system reduces human intervention, integrates provincial vehicle data, and streamlines transfers within 48 hours, aiming to enhance transparency, efficiency, and citizen-centric digital governance.
