In a series of coordinated raids across Punjab, including Lahore, Faisalabad and Multan, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) arrested four suspects for allegedly harassing and blackmailing women online. The suspects were allegedly involved in threatening and intimidating women on social media platforms as well as extorting money from them by using objectionable images and videos of them. Forensic examinations are currently underway to support the investigation.
