Pakistan’s Interior Minister has ordered the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) to intensify action against online harassment, digital blackmail, financial fraud and organized cybercrime. Authorities have been directed to take action against fake accounts and online harassment and ensure that complaints are addressed quickly. The minister also called for an immediate response to financial fraud reports to help protect victims’ funds and improve the chances of identifying suspects. The minister emphasized protecting women and children from online abuse, as well as safeguarding citizens’ personal data, privacy and financial information.
