The Punjab Assembly held Pakistan's first fully paperless parliamentary session under the new e-Assembly system, marking a significant milestone in legislative digitalisation. Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan presided over the session, noting that specialised tablets with unique security codes have been installed at each member's seat. The digital transition is designed to reduce paper consumption, cut costs, and lower the legislature's carbon footprint. Several bills and ordinances were introduced and referred to standing committees. Some hard copies will still be provided during the transition period.
