Islamabad-based journalist Yasir Ayaz, who had gone missing from the Aabpara police station jurisdiction on June 5, was recovered from Swabi's Baraqai area four days later. He was found unconscious near a police post, was taken to hospital, and was later handed to Islamabad police. Ayaz, who works for a private television channel and is originally from Mansehra, contacted his father from an unknown number after regaining consciousness. He was unable to immediately identify his abductors or explain how he was transported to Swabi.
