In recent times, the prevalent usage of artificial intelligence has invoked the risk of deepfakes and the inability to identify them. Meta AI’s recent launch of an AI image detector faced harsh criticism on the failure of unsuccessful detection of the cropped images generated by Muse Image as reported by Reuters analysis. Investigation unconcealed that the tool couldn’t detect 55% of the images which were cropped to approximately one-third to one-half of their original size. It sheds light on the escalating risk of the AI inclusion in a detection deficient digital realm.
