The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency arrested a 17-year-old student in Bahawalpur for allegedly using AI to seek guidance on poisoning his father after a disagreement. The suspect, reportedly inspired by the television series Breaking Bad, set up a home laboratory, sourced chemical material from Australia and Islamabad, and concocted a substance he allegedly administered once without success. He subsequently queried an AI chatbot on how to administer an undetectable fatal poison. NCCIA Punjab received information through an automated monitoring system. Investigation into the chemicals involved and the suspect’s online activities is continuing. His devices and online activity are under review.
