The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency raided three call centres in Islamabad’s E-11 and G-10 sectors, arresting 212 individuals, including Chinese and Pakistani men and women, for alleged involvement in international fraud schemes. Recovered items included 306 mobile phones, 383 computers and CPUs, and 299 monitors and laptops. Suspects were allegedly involved in Google scams and low-dating schemes, with links traced to India and Brazil. The operation follows recent NCCIA actions including the arrest of 27 suspects running an international scam call centre in Karachi and 114 foreign nationals operating a cyber-romance and sextortion network from a registered IT business in Islamabad.
