The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has established a generative AI-powered investigation system developed in partnership with the National Centre of Artificial Intelligence (NCAI). NCAI Chairman Dr Yasar Ayaz described it as Pakistan’s first sovereign generative AI investigation platform, designed to support inquiries into financial crimes, corruption, and white-collar offences. The system covers complaint verification, inquiry management, financial analysis, evidence management, and decision-making assistance. A demonstration was held under NAB Islamabad/Rawalpindi Director General Waqar Ahmed Chauhan. Officials described the platform as a benchmark for responsible AI adoption in Pakistan’s public sector, with both institutions committing to its timely deployment and continued collaboration on sovereign AI development.
