Pakistan Post issued a headquarters circular on June 22 directing postmaster generals to monitor the social media activities of all subordinate staff and initiate immediate departmental action against employees sharing unauthorised departmental information, posting objectionable content, or engaging in political activities online without prior approval. The department cited violations of the Civil Servants Conduct Rules 2026 and directed strict enforcement of attendance and office discipline. The circular was issued alongside a statement from Director General Maqsood Ahmed dismissing reports of privatisation and retrenchment as fabricated, and announcing a digital services reform program aimed at ensuring Pakistan Post’s long-term financial stability.
