In the past 24 hours, Lahore police has reportedly registered 23 cases under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 (PECA). According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Investigations, the cases registered target individuals accused of uploading fake videos and promoting inappropriate and objectionable content that spark hatred against state institutions.
