The federal government has decided to allocate 2,000 megawatts of electricity for the promotion of crypto mining and AI data centers.

The Ministry of Finance said this move marks the first phase of the National Digital Infrastructure Project. 

Overseen by the Pakistan Crypto Council, reports said the government has planned to utilize surplus electricity for Bitcoin mining and advanced technologies.
