Google has announced a $500,000 investment to improve digital safety for Pakistani families through its “Digital Pasban” initiative. The programme aims to reach 200,000 households with Urdu-language safety toolkits, educational workshops for parents, and hopes to help children and adults develop safer online habits. The initiative addresses growing concerns about cyberbullying, online grooming, and exposure to inappropriate content. This is an addition to Google’s long standing intention to expand its presence in Pakistan and support its digital economy.
