Freedom Network’s Quarterly Threat Assessment Review documented 22 cases of threats against journalists between April and June, a 22 percent rise from Q1, with Punjab recording 15 of the 22 cases. State actors were identified as the main threat source in 15 of 22 cases, with those reporting on digital platforms or covering governance and corruption most vulnerable.
