Two big steps have been taken by The Higher Education Commission regarding Artificial Intelligence use. A three-credit hour AI course will be mandatory for every undergraduate and postgraduate degree in the country, starting from Fall 2026. The draft also discussed the guidelines for ethical utilization of AI including a compulsory declaration of which AI tools have been employed and their reason. Lastly, AI detection report standalone should not be a reason behind punishment for any student.
