A Visa-commissioned annual Stay Secure study found that 82% of Pakistani consumers have used AI tools while shopping, primarily for price comparisons, product reviews, and gift recommendations. Around 93% said new technologies make online shopping faster, though only 42% would trust AI agents to complete purchases autonomously. The study also found 55% of respondents experienced a financial scam in the past year, with social media identified as the most common fraud vector. Notably, 77% said children in their households struggle to recognise scams online.
